TECHNOLOGY TO STORAGE HEAT

The technology for the heat storage for heating, sanitary hot water and industrial processes, using electricity produced with photovoltaic systems, wind power, or electric tariff.

In the year 2010 from a multinational requested an electric boiler to give service of heating to the offices with the intention of changing a diesel boiler. The offices have an area of 1000m2, ceilings of 3 meters, the minimum outdoor temperature was-3ºC.

In the case of electricity production facilities, photovoltaic and wind power plants produce electricity to heat the water and subsequently the accumulated heat will be used for heating, showers or for the heat requirements in industrial processes.

HEAT FOR INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL PREMISES

I was told by a person who paid more electricity than gas, I asked him which service has with gas, He answered that the kitchen, I clarify that with electricity had, the refrigerator, washing machine, dishwasher, hair dryer, lighting, tv, computers, blender, freezer and all the services that gives the electricity in the houses, he said I was right, that for what he paid for electricity he had a lot more services than with the gas and he gave me the reason for the cheap which was electricity.

The perfect system to change the old combustion boilers is the production of heat in the valley hours with the heat accumulation equipment, it charges the heat during the night with cheap kwh and is discharged into the environment during the day with the heating systems they currently have. This system does not require extending the contracted power.

There are hundreds of cases that I remember about the implementation of our equipment to provide heating service.

I remember a client who needed to heat a pharmaceutical warehouse, had to control that never lower the temperature of 16ºC. Health had put a check to verify that they met the standard.

The place had 500m2 and 4m ceilings, the client told me that he could not spend more than €70,000, we installed four electric boilers ETE of 7.5kW each and the cost of equipment plus facilities was €28,000. HOT WATER IN HOTELS AND GYMS

This post aims to inform those interested, about what to do in their facilities to save more than 70% of energy and hot water for showers in hotels and gyms.

We start from the experience of an installation that we have done for the practice of hot yoga in Madrid, where we apply the technological concepts that allow a 90% saving in the energy bill, compared to other similar centers.

The elements and factors that have to be reviewed to save energy and water are:

  • Hot water equipmet
  • Energy
  • Automatism

  • Kind of faucet

Things to change to save:

  1. equipment (combustion boiler, heat pump or other) that produces hot water
  2. the type of energy used to heat the water
  3. shower sprinklers

In a hotel: 0.12€ / person with standard faucets and sprinklers of 6 liters / minute.

In a gym: 0.04€ / person using 6 liter / minute sprinklers and showers with push button.

Estimating the price of kwh at 0.12€

In large consumption facilities, the average price of kwh is usually 0.08€, which will lower the price per person.

If you multiply the number of people who shower each day either in the hotel or in the gym, you will know the expense in € that you will have with the system that we propose and can compare with the current expense and calculate the amortization of the investment with all precision.
